When you sit down with the camera just stare straight into it and speak from the heart. It helps to prepare what you want to say ahead of time and then you can always add and take away from it once you get rolling. The action shots will show them how fun you really are, and that you are trying to make a change but are not finding success. I think NBC does want people with personality, but I also think they want people with a lot of depth who are super committed to doing this. Good luck all!

I had a chance to re-make my audition tape - thanks to the extension. I started recording today...I went out with my siblings to take family pics for my parent's 40th anniversary. I had them tape me at the beginning as I told them why I was applying for the show...we did a lot of takes through the day. I included the time we were at the restaurant - I got teary eyed as I talked - well, the tears fell...my sister made me cry. She told the camera that she wants me on the show so that I can work on losing weight b/c she knows that it'll make me happy - that is what my son has said. It hits you hard when family actually speaks out honestly why you need to lose the weight. I have thought myself as a happy person but they can see through a lot of it and know the reasoning behind it all. I am going to interview my kiddos and husband tonight on why I should be picked. Then I am sending it in - I'm excited to get it finished.
