My dad offered to buy me diamond earrings if I quit smoking. I quit for a month, couldn't deal with it and started smoking again. He still bought me the diamond earrings for my college graduation though. That was 3 years ago and I am still smoking.
That tells me that no matter what reward is out there, we are only going to make changes if it what we really want to do. Nobody can control our lives for us, we are the ones in control of this crazy carnival ride of weight loss and weight gain. We are the only one that can truly make the choice to stop the ride and say enough is enough.
