How Colon Cleanses Help Weight Loss?

Posted on 19 December 2007 by aaron_nimocks

Maybe you want to lose a few pounds to fit back into your favorite clothes, or you have the results of years of bad eating and exercise habits to shed. Either way, you want to lose weight yesterday. You are searching for the answer to rapid weight loss. You have heard about a recently popular method for losing the extra pounds fast, but you need to know how colon cleanses aid weight loss.

Before discussing how colon cleanses aid weight loss, a word of caution is advisable. Colon cleanses are not the answer to years of overeating and junk food. Nor does the process make up for the lack of healthy exercise. Colon cleanses are not the solution to excess pounds. Rather, it is an element of the total life change necessary to become fit and well. If you choose to cleanse your colon, yet continue to overeat, or consume foods that are bad for your body, you will not lose weight in the long run. In fact, it may only result in increased weight gain.

Also, you need to understand that all colon cleansing products are not created equal. Some products actually advertise the benefit of helping you lose weight, others do not. Initially, both choices may result in shedding a few pounds quickly. Why? Supposedly, the colon can store between four and eight pounds of waste. Thus, if the colon is cleansed, it will register on the scale. However, as soon as you start consuming food again, your colon will begin the storage process.

Generally, a colon cleansing is used as a detoxifier and initial boost to the dieting process. By ridding the body of excess waste, the digestive system is relieved of impurities that can cause you to feel bloated and run down. Some people actually swear by the healthy ideals of regular colon cleansing.

However, before beginning any diet or over-the-counter health care product, please consult your personal physician. He/she is will be able to give you the benefit of education and knowledge. If you want to purchase a colon cleansing product, you want to make sure you are getting what you are paid for, know all the health benefits, and if there are any health risks involved. Just because you can purchase a health item over the counter, it does not necessarily mean that it is good for your particular health situation.

In addition, the doctor can advise you on getting the most from your colon cleaning. He/she can determine a weight loss strategy specifically designed for you unique circumstances. One aspect of colon cleansing a doctor will surely discuss is the importance of following the directions.

Some colon cleansers require the user to discontinue eating solid foods for a day or two. Even if it does not suggest a liquid diet, most products will ask you to restrict your intake to fruits or vegetables. Basically, the premise is less input, less output, making it easier for the cleanser to work properly.

So, whether you want to use a colon cleansing product to detoxify your system or lose a few pounds quickly, always consult your physician, to be aware of all potential benefits and risks. Then, when you initially drop the pounds after cleansing, do not stop there and expect the cleanser to work miracles. For weight loss, colon cleansing must be partnered with a healthier diet and exercise.

What to Eat, When to Eat and Eating Healthy

Posted on 17 December 2007 by aaron_nimocks

You are fat and out of shape and look like a football and people often call you a couch potato. Is this what you want to be? Or you want to look fit and healthy always full of life and vigor. The choice is yours. The only way out is to add a regular exercise regime in your everyday routine for gradual weight loss. Just exercising without any guidance and proper diet control is not going to take you anywhere close to your goal.

The aim of leading a healthy life should start with a proper plan of exercising and diet control. As a beginner for achieving a healthy body does not restrict you from getting the maximum out of your workout regime. The plan must include a chart of ‘What to eat When to eat’ and a chart of ‘When to exercise’ to enable you to get the maximum out of the workout plan you want to follow for weight loss.

You must understand that choosing a proper time to eat is equally important as eating a meal. Eating before an exercise will always make you feel worse with problems like sleepiness, indigestion, sluggishness and even cramps and an overall bad health. Similarly if you have no food at all you will be too weak for exercise and may faint or feet tired all the time. It is important to follow some guidelines for eating if you have the intention of weight loss. Following are some basic guidelines but these may be modified depending upon your body response and personal experience.

The first principle of healthy eating is that a large meal should be always eaten at least three to four hours before the exercise and where you are in for a light meal you must have a two to three hours gap between the meal and exercise.

The second principle of healthy eating is simply avoiding eating fat in any form as much as possible.

The third principle of well thought eating is to drink a lot of water while you exercise as this will not allow you to dehydrate and keep your body cool.
